Choosing
A Trade Show Exhibit Display
Do You have a trade show, expo or exhibit? You
need a trade show display or banner stand. Although
there are dozens of trade
show displays, they are generally grouped into three
categories: portable,
modular
and custom.
As you consider the choices, make a list of what you want
to accomplish at a trade show. Then you can choose trade
show displays or banner
stands that best will matches your need.
Portable Banner Stands and Trade
Show Displays
A Portable
trade show displays are generally defined as a structure
that can be shipped via UPS®, DHL®, FedEx®, or
transported in most vehicles. They are easy to assemble (usually
by one person with no tools). Portable
stands utilize Velcro® - receptive fabric panels and
or graphic panels (Banner
Stands).
Pop-up displays
(Evolution) Pop-up
displays
are essential for your trade show displays consist of a collapsible frame that expands to create
a back-wall for attachment of graphic mural panels and/or
fabric panels. When using graphic mural panels, the graphics
will hang directly on the frame’s hardware. This will
create a large (10' wide x 8' tall), virtually seamless graphic
image.
Panel systems
(ExpoAire IITM, VisionsTM, AireLite IITM- TRADE SHOW DISPLAYS) panel
systems consist of thin, flat panels (usually 2' x 4')
that fold for storage and shipment. These systems are offered
in a wide range of models. Normally they consist of individual
panels that are connected on-site, or permanently hinged panels
that simply unfold to create a display. Most are covered on
both sides with fabric and are reversible.
Modular Systems
(ExpoModular and ExpoForm- TRADE SHOW DISPLAYS) Modular
trade show displays are hybrid structures that
attempt to give the look of a full Custom
display in a lighter and more portable format. As the
name suggests, this system uses modules of varying types (panels
or frames) that connects to form trade show displays.
Most Modular systems
offer a virtually limitless array of ExpoModular 10’
x 20’ finishes including metal and wood laminates, graphics,
etc. The best part of this
is, when properly designed, it can easily be reconfigured
(to meet booth space, size, or structural requirements), modified,
and added to over time. Plus, if a single panel is damaged,
it can be replaced without replacing a large section. These
systems are stronger and heavier than Portable trade
show displays, but are weaker and lighter than most Custom
systems. Modular displays
usually ship in wooden crates or large plastic containers.
| Tip: No matter which type of banner stands or trade show displays you choose, have your designer incorporate future additions
and upgrades into your original design. Having it built
with a long-term plan in mind will save money in the
long run on these additions. |
